And fans already know that she passed away in December. Although Anna’s death hasn’t aired onscreen yet, viewers know it’s just a matter of time.
As the family mourned Anna’s loss, they continued filming. Now, it appears they just wrapped up filming for the season. Keep reading to see what Mama June just shared online.
Mama June Shares She’s Done Filming For The Season
It’s not at all uncommon for reality television shows to be very far behind real life. Sister Wives in particular is notorious for being more than a year behind current events. But the same can’t really be said for Mama June: Family Crisis.
Anna Cardwell just recently passed away in December 2023. However, fans already know that the show will feature her death before the season wraps up.
June Shannon herself just confirmed that the current season just finished filming this weekend.
“Well that’s a wrap for this season y’all will see all the crazy emotional things that happened this weekend in Panama City u can watch this season every Friday night 9/8cst on @wetv mama June family crisis started at season 6. Episode 11” the family matriarch shared on her Instagram stories. She attached a photo of the family and crew posed on a boat with a beautiful sunset behind them.
Viewers already know that they will see the family struggle to deal with Anna Cardwell’s death and the grieving process. For the time being, fans can really only speculate about the “emotional things” June references in her post.
But in all likelihood, it’s related to Anna Cardwell’s passing.
Anna Cardwell Struggled To Accept Her Fate
Right now, Mama June viewers are heartbroken as they realize Anna really struggled to accept her terminal cancer diagnosis. No matter what her family says, they can’t seem to get Anna to put plans in place after her death.
“The cancer part wouldn’t be so bad if she would just fix the stuff that needs to be fixed, get her affairs in order and then we’d all be able to just hang out and worry about spending time with her,” Anna’s younger sister Lauryn Efird admitted in a recent episode.
