Netflix has revealed a 5-minute behind-the-scenes featurette for The Gentlemen, a streaming series from filmmaker Guy Ritchie. Crime meets caviar in this slick crime comedy creation! Meet the new class of criminals in The Gentlemen. A new British drama series inspired by the original 2019 film. Eddie Halstead inherits large estate from his father, unaware it fronts Pearson’s drug empire. With no crime experience, he must take over the operation or lose the estate. The Gentlemen is currently streaming on Netflix as of last week, but they’re hoping to bring more attention to it with this extensive promo video. The series features Ray Winstone, Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito, Chanel Cresswell, Michael Vu, Max Beesley, Jasmine Blackborow, Harry Goodwins, Dar Salim, Pearce Quigley, Ruby Sear, Peter Serafinowicz. The video includes a look at the Badminton House where they filmed, as well as other sets & locations, plus conversations with the cast & crew. The Gentlemen sees Eddie Horniman (Theo James) unexpectedly inherit his father’s sizable country estate – only to discover it’s part of a clandestine cannabis empire. Moreover, many unsavory characters from Britain’s criminal underworld want a piece of the operation. Determined to extricate his family from their clutches, Eddie tries to play the gangsters at their own game. However, as he gets sucked into the world of criminality, he begins to find a taste for it. The Gentlemen is a series created by and co-written by British filmmaker Guy Ritchie (of Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Revolver, RocknRolla, Sherlock Holmes and sequel A Game of Shadows, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Disney’s Aladdin, The Gentlemen, Wrath of Man, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, The Covenant). The series is also co-written by Matthew Read. Featuring episodes directed by Guy Ritchie, David Caffrey, Eran Creevy, and Nima Nourizadeh (of Project X, American Ultra, “The Wilds”, “Gangs of London”, “Warrior”).
