“I have a very particular set of skills… Skills I have acquired over a very long acting career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.” Do we need to remind you again?? TURN OFF YOUR PHONES. No phones, no texting, no talking during movies at the theater. No arguing, no excuses. Yes that means you. And you. All of you. Two new promos have debuted for upcoming movies featuring the characters from those movies reminding people to turn off their phones during screenings. The first one is for Deadpool & Wolverine, which opens in theaters at the end of July this summer. This promo spot has been playing in theaters around the world, and a leaked version has been uploaded so you can hear them cursing people out for using their phone (hell yeah, you tell ’em!!). The other promo features the incomparable June Squibb from the hilarious indie film Thelma, which opens in theaters at the end of June in just a few weeks (watch the trailer). The video with Squibb is an Alamo Drafthouse creation, and they usually always make these PSAs with celebrities every time there’s a new release. They’re both funny! And you better do what they say.
You can view the two official trailers for Thelma with June Squibb right here & right here for more of her.
Deadpool will change the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Wolverine. Or will he?! The third movie in the Deadpool franchise. Deadpool & Wolverine, formerly known as just Deadpool 3, is directed by the American producer / filmmaker Shawn Levy, director of many movies including Just in Time, Big Fat Liar, Just Married, Cheaper by the Dozen, The Pink Panther, Night at the Museum 1-3, Date Night, Real Steel, The Internship, This Is Where I Leave You, Free Guy, and The Adam Project previously, plus the All the Light We Cannot See series most recently. The screenplay is written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, as well as Zeb Wells, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, Wendy Molyneux, and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin. Based on the characters created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza. It’s produced by the MCU’s Kevin Feige, with Simon Kinberg, Shawn Levy, and Ryan Reynolds. 20th Century Studios will debut Deadpool & Wolverine in theaters worldwide starting on July 26th, 2024 coming soon this summer. Still looks good? Who’s down?
