Excellent Trailer #2 for Animated ‘Transformers One’ Cybertron Movie

“Now is the time for us to stand up, together, as one.” Fresh from Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con comes a brand new trailer for this animated movie landing in theaters in a few months. Paramount has debuted the second official trailer for Transformers One, an animation creation by Hasbro & New Republic Pictures. Telling the story of how Optimus and Megatron went from being friends to enemies. Transformers One is based on the Transformers toyline by Hasbro and is the 8th installment in the Transformers movies series. This “prequel” is set on the planet Cybertron and will center on the relationship between the bots Optimus Prime and Megatron, and how they turned against each other. Directed by Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4), the ensemble voice cast includes Chris Hemsworth as Optimus, Brian Tyree Henry as Megatron, Scarlett Johansson as Elita, Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee, with Jon Hamm, Laurence Fishburne, and Steve Buscemi. This is a much, much better than the first trailer, which played like a wacky cartoon. This time it looks like a proper full-on, sci-fi epic about the war raging on Cybertron. Now I’m excited! Fire it up.

The screenplay is written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. Produced by Michael Bay, Aaron Dem, Tom DeSanto, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy, and Mark Vahradian. Paramount will debut Cooley’s Transformers One movie in theaters nationwide starting September 20th, 2024 later this year. Does it look any good?
