Ted Lasso quickly became an inspirational favorite on Apple TV. Jason Sudeikis was the perfect choice for the leading role and he nailed it. Since Season 3 wrapped up and concluded the series, fans have been begging for more. Many have expressed how badly they want the cast to write and film a Season 4 for the hit show. Now, the show’s creator is saying the future of the show lies in Jason’s hands. Keep reading to find out more.
Future Of Ted Lasso Lies In Jason Sudeikis’ Hands
Fans have been begging for Jason Sudeikis and the rest of the cast to make a Season 4 of Ted Lasso. However, in the past, Jason has said the show was only meant to have three seasons.
Now, the show creator Bill Lawrence spoke about the show’s future saying that everything lies in the hands of Jason Sudeikis. He said, “Whatever Jason feels like doing and whatever his decision is, we’re all down with it.”
Lawrence went on to say that Jason had a lot to consider before committing to bringing back the beloved soccer coach from Kansas. He said, “Not only is he the star, he’s the head writer, and he’s also the dude whose life just has to be completely overhauled and moved to a foreign country with young children. It’s a big deal.” Jason Sudeikis shares two children with ex Olivia Wilde. His kids are son Otis, 10, and daughter, Daisy, 7.
Lawrence said he is down for whatever it is Jason decides he wants to do.
What Jason Sudeikis Has Said In The Past
Ted Lasso first premiered in August 2020 and fans went wild. Jason Sudeikis quickly became a fan favorite and his “Believe” attitude took him and his English soccer team far.
When Season 3 concluded in May 2023, Jason insisted that was it. He said the show was only meant to run for three seasons and the ending was meant to be the conclusion of the series.
Since the show was so well perceived and fans keep begging for more, Jason has said in the past that perhaps there could be spinoffs based on the original characters.
Right now, all three seasons are streaming on Apple TV. So far Jason has not made any new comments about a decision to move forward with any part of the series.
Do you hope Jason decides he wants to do something with Ted Lasso? Do you hope he creates some spinoffs or would you rather see the whole group back together for Season 4?
Stay tuned for more updates when anything new is announced.
