We’re going to the top.” Blue Fox Ent. has revealed an official trailer for an indie film titled Lost on a Mountain in Maine, a survival adventure thriller from filmmaker Andrew Boodhoo Kightlinger. This one recently premiered at the 2024 Maine Film Festival (never even knew this festival existed?) and will open in theaters nationwide in November this fall. Based on the best-selling book of the same name, Lost on a Mountain in Maine tells the amazing true story of a 12 year old boy that gets separated from his family during a fast moving storm while on a treacherous hike on Maine’s largest mountain peak. He will fight to stay alive during his nine-day adventure lost in the backwoods of Maine. From producer Sylvester Stallone, the film stars Luke David Blumm, Paul Sparks, Caitlin FitzGerald, Ethan Slater, and Griffin Wallace Henkel. This film has such a blatantly literal title – just hope the rest is any good. Intriguing to see that it’s a film critiquing the “be tough” notion of men.

Based on the best-selling book by the same name, the movie tells the inspiring story of a 12-year-old boy (starring Luke David Blumm), who, separated from his family during a hike by a fast-moving storm, must fight to stay alive during his nine-day adventure lost in the backwoods of Maine. Lost on a Mountain in Maine is directed by indie writer / filmmaker Andrew Boodhoo Kightlinger, director of the films Dust of War and Tater Tot & Patton previously, plus many other short films. The screenplay is written by Luke Paradise. Adapted from the novel “Lost on a Mountain in Maine” by Donn Fendler and Joseph B. Egan. It’s produced by Sylvester Stallone, Braden Aftergood, Dick Boyce, and Ryan B. Cook. This just premiered at the 2024 Maine Film Festival last month.
