“There’s only one way out of this – I’m going to take ’em all out.” Lionsgate has revealed a second and final trailer for the action thriller comedy called The Killer’s Game, directed by stuntman / filmmaker J.J. Perry (he also made the vampire film Day Shift with Jamie Foxx a few years ago). This is opening in theaters at the end of this week – a final marketing push with a violent, bloody, action-packed trailer. Looks better than the first trailer but not by much. A veteran assassin is diagnosed with a life-ending illness with limited time left and authorizes a kill on himself. After ordering the kill, an army of former colleagues pounce and a new piece of information comes to light – he’s not really going to die. Insanity ensues, of course, as usual when all the assassins come out of the woodwork. Dave Bautista stars as Joe Flood, aka “The Slugger”, who gets caught up in this mess. “Will the Slugger have what it takes to outrun the competition?” This also co-stars Sofia Boutella, Terry Crews, Scott Adkins, with Pom Klementieff, and Ben Kingsley. This seems uber violent and amusing, but I’m not sure that’ll be enough to see it in theaters? Take a look below.

In this action-comedy The Killer’s Game, when top hitman Joe Flood (Dave Bautista) is diagnosed with a terminal illness, he decides to take matters into his own hands – by taking a hit out on himself. But when the very hitmen he hired also target his ex-girlfriend (Sofia Boutella), he must fend off an army of assassin colleagues & win back the love of his life before it’s too late. The Killer’s Game is directed by stuntman turned filmmaker J.J. Perry, making his second film after directing Day Shift previously; plus lots of work as a second unit director and stunt coordinator / stuntman on many big Hollywood features (Beowulf, Edge of Darkness, Get the Gringo, Gangster Squad, Ender’s Game, John Wick, Skyscraper, F9). The screenplay is written by James Coyne, Simon Kinberg, Rand Ravich; adapted from Jay Bonansinga’s novel “The Killer’s Game”. Produced by Kia Jam, Andrew Lazar, Steve Richards. A Mad Chance & Endurance Media movie, in association with Dogbone Entertainment, K. Jam Media and Lipsync. Lionsgate debuts Perry’s The Killer’s Game movie in theaters nationwide starting September 13th, 2024 this month. Anyone want to watch?
