Dave Grohl‘s ex Jennifer Finch is actually coming to his defense amid his cheating scandal! Seriously?!
On Thursday, Jennifer — who dated the rock star back in the ’90s — told TMZ that Dave is “a top-tier dad and friend,” as the outlet put it. Uhh, that’s pretty bold to say right now!
As Perezcious readers know, on Tuesday, the musician owned up to cheating on his wife of over 20 years, Jordyn Blum, and fathering a secret love child with an unidentified mistress. He plans to help raise the baby girl while attempting to mend things with his family, including the couple’s daughters, Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.

This is reportedly not even the first time he’s cheated on his current wife, and People even reported that the Best of You crooner retained a divorce lawyer before releasing the statement. So, it’s not looking good for the future! And with all this in mind, it’s kinda wild to hear someone praising him for being such a great family man!
So, why’s she so confident defending him? Does she know more than we do? Jennifer says so! The artist went on to claim that she’s actually gotten a front-row seat to the family dynamics lately since she was touring with them recently.
It’s unclear when Dave’s wife found out about the affair and secret child — though she wasn’t wearing her ring at the start of August — so it’s hard to know exactly what Jennifer witnessed on tour. Were the co-parents fighting? Figuring out how to deal with this controversy? Or was Dave still keeping a massive secret? The answer matters!! But for now, Jennifer isn’t elaborating.

Without sharing those key details, the L7 rock band member told the outlet that the Nirvana drummer — who has a very long history of infidelity — is doing everything he can for his family. You know, everything except keeping it in his pants to avoid this whole mess in the first place…
As for Jennifer’s relationship with the Foo Fighters singer, she didn’t have much to say, and she won’t for a very long time! The 58-year-old declared that she won’t spill the tea on the NSFW aspects of their relationship until after his youngest turns 18. His youngest being the brand new baby girl who was just born, too — not his 10-year-old. So, we’ve got a while to wait! She did, however, insist that they are still close friends. Things must’ve ended well if she still thinks so fondly of him. Even after his shocking confession!
