Guitarist Michael Schenker revisits his tenure in the band UFO on his new album, appropriately titled My Years With UFO, which is out today (September 20th). Among the various guest vocalists on the LP is Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose, who sings on the song “Love to Love.”
Schenker was a member of the long-running UK hard rock band from 1972 to 1978, then again for a few brief stints. My Years With UFO focuses on those classic ’70s years during the band’s heyday.
In addition to Rose, the new album features such rock luminaries as Dee Snider, Slash, Joe Lynn Turner, Jeff Scott Soto, Stephen Pearcy, and more.
Rose’s distinctive vocals highlight the new version of “Love to Love,” and further illustrate the influence that UFO had on Guns N’ Roses.
My Years With UFO is the first of three albums that Schenker will release under a new record deal with earMUSIC. Two more LPs are planned for 2025 and 2026.
