“There are times that the spirit has to disrupt our patterns of living.” Picturehouse has revealed the official trailer for a documentary film titled Leap of Faith, arriving in theaters this fall. Inspiring and provocative, Leap of Faith explores whether we can disagree and still belong to each other in a divided world. The doc is produced by acclaimed filmmaker Morgan Neville & director Nicholas Ma; also of the award-winning Won’t You Be My Neighbor. Over a year, 12 diverse Christian leaders explore contentious issues & seek fellowship at retreats in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They navigate divisions while holding onto their shared belief in love, testing the bonds they build. Five women & seven men struggle with some of today’s most important issues at this Christian retreat, discussing & debating with openness. I hope this can actually help bring some calm & peace rather than make anyone more upset, but they save all the actual conversations to watch in the film.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Nicholas Ma’s doc Leap of Faith, from Picturehouse’s YouTube:
In this documentary film, over the course of a year, 12 diverse Christian leaders struggle to find hope and fellowship at a series of boundary-breaking retreats in Grand Rapids, MI. Brought together by Reverend Michael Gulker of The Colossian Forum, five women and seven men will explore some of today’s most contentious issues. The divisions between them become apparent and test both their common belief in the universal importance of love and kindness and the very bonds they build over the course of a year. Leap of Faith is directed by American indie filmmaker Nicholas Ma, director of the film Mabel previously, and a few other short films. Produced by Morgan Neville and Nicholas Ma. Picturehouse debuts the Leap of Faith doc in select US theaters starting on October 4th, 2024 this fall. For more info, visit the film’s official site.
