“You never believed I could win.” Ouch! But he will win, right? Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a French series called The Cage, also known as La Cage in French, about an up-and-coming MMA fighter. Set to debut streaming on Netflix in November this fall. The Cage, the new Netflix series about the world of MMA. Dreaming of going pro, a young fighter struggles to be seen until an unexpected combat lands him a shot at the big time — and a brutal rival in the Cage. Melvin Boomer playing Taylor and real-life MMA legends star in this series created by the French actor Franck Gastambide. “The Cage is the entertaining and aspirational hero’s journey of an outsider in the sensational world of MMA.” It also features two legendary MMA fighters: Jon Jones and Georges Saint-Pierre. All this footage available looks a lot like Creed or Rocky if it were about a young MMA fighter instead, about an underdog kid who trains with a legend to take on the brutal top fighter of the moment. Looks intense but still cliche. Check out the first full trailer below.
