“You don’t look like a teenager.” A24 has unveiled a funny promo featurette for the Y2K comedy opening this month taking us back to the 90s! Yeah baby yeah! This video features director Kyle Mooney taking us back to 1999 and showing us what it was like – with a crappy quality video shot with a fish eye lens. And tons of other quirks & perks that will be a nostalgic kick in the balls for anyone who remembers this strange time in history. In the movie, two high school nobodies make the decision to crash the last major celebration on New Year’s Eve 1999. The night gets even crazier than they could have ever dreamed when the clock strikes midnight – with the tech coming alive and attacking them (watch the full trailer). The hilarious NYE horror comedy stars Rachel Zegler, Jaeden Martell, Julian Dennison, and Alicia Silverstone, along with The Kid Laroi, Tim Heidecker, and Fred Durst. This is an amusing promo that really does feel like it’s straight out of 1999. And there is a funny new website from the 90s to check out as well – click here to visit.

This first premiered at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival earlier this year as a Headliner. A24 will debut Mooney’s Y2K in theaters nationwide starting December 6th, 2024 this fall. Who’s down?
