Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ mom is taking on the Allison Holker controversy.
Earlier this week, tWitch’s widow sat down with People to discuss her forthcoming memoir This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light. For the first time she revealed shocking secrets about the late dancer. Family, friends, and fans alike have been up in arms since, accusing Allison of “disgracing” the Ellen DJ’s legacy.

However, the mom of three maintains that her objective through everything is to help others who may be fighting similar silent battles. She said on Wednesday:
“My hope is that we don’t need to lose another husband, brother, father, or friend to suicide. I believe that if Stephen were still able to choose, he would want to have his story told if it meant saving even one life. Much love to all those who have supported our family these many years.”
But tWitch’s mom doesn’t buy it.
On Thursday, Connie Boss Alexander took to Instagram to break her silence amid all the controversy surrounding her late son and Allison:
“Our family is absolutely appalled by the misleading and hurtful claims made about my son, Stephen Boss. The recent publications spreading untruths about Stephen have crossed every line of decency. As his mother, I will not let these accusations go unanswered. We will not stand by while his name and legacy are tarnished. He doesn’t deserve this, and the kids don’t deserve this.”
tWitch and Allison share Maddox, 8, and Zaia, 5. The late entertainer also adopted Allison’s daughter Weslie, 16, from a previous relationship. Connie continued:
“For the last two years, I have remained quiet and away from the public eye to protect my family. My primary focus has been on healing and attempting to remain connected to my grandchildren. But when I read these dreadful claims about my baby, our beloved Stephen, I realized I could not stay silent any longer. Our family will ensure his name and memory are protected, and we are committed to defending his honor.”
Connie didn’t make it clear how she intends to do so, but this comes on the heels of other family members slamming Allison for her decision to share his story and raising claims of their own — such as Allison forcing them to sign NDAs to attend his funeral, and refusing to let the Boss family see the children.
