After enjoying an outing with actress Olivia Wilde, Dane DiLiegro is piquing fans’ interest and curiosity.
The pair fueled romance rumors after they attended a Los Angeles Lakers game in January 2025. While watching the Lakers defeat the Boston Celtics, DiLiegro and Wilde looked cozy as they snuggled up in their seats. Neither DiLiegro nor Wilde addressed their connection at the time.
DiLiegro is the first person Wilde has been linked to following her 2022 split from Harry Styles. Before her whirlwind romance with Styles, the actress was previously married to Italian prince Tao Ruspoli from 2003 to 2011. She moved on with Jason Sudeikis in 2013. The pair, who share son Otis and daughter Daisy Josephine, called it quits in 2020.
While not much is known about DiLiegro’s dating history, he’s had an interesting career path in recent years. DiLiegro, who is 6’8, is a former basketball player who got his acting start by portraying monsters in several horror flicks.

Dane DiLiegro Played Professional Basketball
DiLiegro received a scholarship to play basketball for the University of New Hampshire. While playing college ball for four years, he recorded the second-highest number of rebounds in the program’s history.
Though DiLiegro was not drafted into the NBA after his 2011 graduation, the athlete did go on to play professionally abroad, suiting up for several teams in Italy and Israel. DiLiegro played for Team USA in the Maccabiah Games in Israel in 2009 and earned a gold medal.
Dane DiLiegro Was Almost a Butcher
After his basketball career ended, DiLiegro considered following in his family’s footsteps and becoming a butcher.
“Butchering was kind of a tradition in my family,” DiLiegro said in an August 2022 interview with the Los Angeles Times. “My mother’s father, Al Moll, once owned a kosher meat market outside Boston.
In 2016, DiLiegro apprenticed under well-renowned Tuscan butcher Dario Cecchini. While he still maintains a friendship with Cecchini, DiLiegro changed his career path after he got a call to be a stand-in for the film Free Guy starring Ryan Reynolds.
Dane DiLiegro Is a Monster Movie Star
After his film debut in Free Guy, DiLiegro decided to seek out roles in monster-related horror movies after a convincing conversation with a stunt coordinator on set. He followed the professional’s advice and got his first monstrous role in the Netflix Korean series Sweet Home.
“I had to wear this foam latex suit that weighed 80 pounds,” he said in an August 2022 interview with Variety. “My feet were four inches off the floor and my toes stuck out four inches. I weighed 320 pounds with that suit, and foam latex is a sponge, so the weight would increase as the day went by. I had never acted before. Ok, in summer camp I think I did drama but it was, like, an elective.”
Following his first monster role, DiLiegro got his big break in Prey where he played The Predator. In the project, he performed all the acting, stunts and motion capture as the infamous creature. In addition to Prey, DiLiegro also had roles in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3., Imaginary and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, V/H/S/Beyond and Werewolves.
Dane DiLiegro Is Expanding His Acting Career
During a 2022 interview with Variety, DiLiegro joked that he hoped he could “play a human” one day — and got his wish three years later. The actor was cast in the Lakers-themed show, Running Point, alongside Kate Hudson, Drew Tarver, Brenda Song, Max Greenfield and more. The sports comedy, created by Mindy Kaling, will premiere on Netflix on February 27, 2025.
