Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness are finally starting to move on from their “stressful” split!
As Perezcious readers know, the longtime couple broke up in 2023. At the time, they insisted it was an amicable split spurred on by a need for “individual growth.” But it quickly came to light that The Greatest Showman star had been having an alleged affair with his former Broadway co-star Sutton Foster, who he is now public with! So, you can imagine how rocky things really were behind the scenes!

Speaking to Us Weekly on Thursday, an insider claimed the exes are finally getting to a better place in their new dynamic. They’ll never be fully out of each other’s lives as co-parents of son Oscar, 24, and daughter Ava, 19, so this is important.
Addressing the dynamic post-breakup, the source candidly shared:
“Hugh and Deborra-Lee’s separation has been stressful, hard and not fully amicable.”
While they didn’t name Sutton, the source said the exes had disagreements about “certain” things after their split. LMFAO! No kidding! That’s gotta be a reference to Hugh’s new girl! But it could also hint at their legal trouble. While they have not filed for divorce yet, it is likely to get nasty as they reportedly did not sign a prenup and there is a LOT of money involved. Oof.
Despite not finalizing anything yet, the pair are making progress and have figured out how to co-exist, the insider continued:
“They’re moving forward as [best they can] despite hurt feelings and pain. [But] it will take a while to recover because they were together for so long.”
And because of the MESSY way things ended, especially for Deborra-Lee! That kind of betrayal is hard to get over!
Meanwhile, the actor is reportedly super eager to get married to the Younger actress ASAP, once they both sort out their divorces. She filed for divorce from her husband Ted Griffin in October, shortly before going public with The Wolverine star. Based on their PDA-filled sightings, they certainly don’t seem to be mourning their past relationships much. So, we have a feeling the “hurt feelings” in Hugh and Deb’s split are a little more one-sided than the source is making it seem! Brutal.
