Ballerina finds global streaming success on Prime Video
Ana de Armas’ John Wick spin-off is seeing a surge of interest following its arrival on Prime Video, where the action thriller has entered the platform’s global Top 10 rankings. Officially titled From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, the film is now reaching a broader audience after a modest theatrical performance.
According to Flix Patrol, the film placed second on Amazon Prime’s worldwide Top Movies list on January 26, 2026. The movie was also positioned at number one in several territories on the same date, including Sweden, Panama, the Dominican Republic, and Brazil.
The movie unfolds alongside the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. It follows Eve Macarro as she begins her training within the Ruska Roma, a secretive assassin organization. Orphaned after witnessing her father’s murder as a child, Eve is taken in by the group and trained in ballet, combat, and assassination. Despite warnings from those around her, she ultimately sets out on a dangerous solo mission to hunt down the people responsible for her father’s death.
De Armas headlines the cast as Eve Macarro. Other cast members include Anjelica Huston as the Director, Gabriel Byrne as the Chancellor, Lance Reddick as Charon, and Norman Reedus as Daniel Pine.
Critically, Ballerina performed well. The film holds a 92 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, with audiences awarding it a 75 percent rating. Despite the good reviews, its theatrical release fell short of expectations. The film opened lower than the predictions set by the John Wick sequels, but it appears to have a wider audience on streaming.
