Marjorie Taylor Greene recently resigned from Congress. However, she has still been busy, making headlines with a number of media appearances. Recently, she had a few choice words for President Donald Trump during a podcast appearance. At the moment, she also reflected on her own history with the president. Keep reading for all the details that she spilled.
Marjorie Taylor Greene Announced Her Resignation In Late 2025
Back in 2021, Greene became the U.S. representative for Georgia’s 14th congressional district. However, in late 2025, she announced she would resign from the position following a dispute with President Donald Trump. Her last day was on January 5, 2026.
Since then, Greene has become known for various media appearances. This has included The View, Real Time with Bill Maher, and even podcasts.

Following her resignation, Greene was featured in an interview with political commentator Kim Iversen on January 29. During the discussion, she shared a few choice words about President Donald Trump.
Greene dubbed MAGA, the “Make America Great Again” slogan popularized by Trump during his presidential campaign, a “lie,” saying, “It was a big lie for the people.” However, she claimed that MAGA now serves “big donors that donate all the money” to Trump’s “big ballroom.”
Greene continued, “Those are the people that get the special favors, the government contracts, they get the pardons.” She also felt that it was foreign countries and major corporations that now ran the show.
Greene Also Looked Back On Her Own Past With President Trump
In particular, Greene also felt that Trump was investing more effort into what is going on in Iran than in the United States. As she continued, she felt more focus should be given to the current “civil war” in Minnesota.
This was likely in reference to the recent fatal shootings of Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good. She also felt that Trump was too focused on Israel, sharing concern for the people of Gaza.

Greene continued, “We’re seeing a whole plan play out, which is really a new world order, it’s the new way of doing business.” She also compared the situation to a Scooby-Doo meme in which the mask is pulled off the episode’s bad guy.
As noted, Greene resigned from her position in Congress following a dispute with Trump. However, she also noted the history she had working with him, when asked when she felt a change had occurred in the party.
The former Congresswoman shared, “I know the president. I worked with him for quite a few years, traveled with him, campaigned with him, visited him, talked with him on the phone, text messages with him, I mean I know the president. I don’t know.” She also disputed the idea that Trump’s staff was to blame, saying she knew Trump as someone who couldn’t easily be “pushed” around.
