In case the constant weather warnings and relentless downpours haven’t quite delivered the message, January has arrived. Whilst the season is synonymous with miserable weather and dark days, it isn’t without a few subtle delights; frequent showers bring out the earthy fragrances of nature whilst restoring parched fields to their green glory, and whilst fallen leaves reveal bony, sad-looking trees, their gothic silhouettes are something to behold in themselves.

However, newly inspired by Rachel Stevens, I think I’ve finally stumbled across the wet-weather solution that marries functionality with fashion to see me through my winter walks in style.
