Those that know me or have listened to our Corpse Club podcast are all too aware of my undying love for Event Horizon. One of my favorite movies of the 90s, and easily among the best horror / sci-fi movies ever made, fans have always wanted to return to the world created by Paul W.S. Anderson and Philip Eisner nearly 28 years ago. And we’re getting our chance this August, with the release of the first of five issues of a brand-new prequel comic book series set in the world of Event Horizon. Titled Event Horizon: Dark Descent, the official prequel comes from Christian Ward, Tristan Jones, Pip Martin, and IDW.
I was so excited when I heard the news, and so happy for Christian Ward, that I knew we had to jump on a Zoom call immediately to talk about this prequel series.
