Nicolas Cage (Reinfield, Mandy) has finally arrived to Dead by Daylight. He is now available to play in the public test build on the Steam version of Dead by Daylight. His character will be available to purchase for everyone on all platforms on July 25th of this year.
One of the biggest actors of all time landed a role in a very popular horror game called Dead by Daylight. It was a surprise for sure, but it is a welcome one and was received very well by fans of the game. Nicolas Cage will be playing a fictional version of himself as a survivor in the game.
He gets summoned by the Entity while filming “the role of a lifetime” and now must survive the Fog where several killers lurk such as Michael Myers, Ghostface, The Trapper, The Huntress, and many more.
His character comes with 3 unique perks to help battle and survive the evil that lurks in the Entities realm. His first perk is called Dramaturgy which allows players to allow their instincts to take over. You will gain the ability to run with high knees for 0.5 seconds and then gain 25% haste.
It will then be followed by an unknown Effect which can range from being exposed to gaining a random rare item in hand. His second perk is called ‘Scene Partner’ which activates while the survivor is in the killer’s terror radius and allows you to see the killer’s aura for a few seconds.
His third and final perk is called ‘Plot Twist’ which can activate while the survivor is injured and puts you in the dying state silently. You will leave no blood pool, make no sounds, and can fully recover from this state. Once you recover by yourself, you are fully healed and gain 50% haste for a few seconds. Head of Partnerships for Behavior Interactive states “To say we are thrilled to have Nicolas Cage join the gaming world for the first time with Dead By Daylight is an understatement” He goes on to say that “Mr. Cage recorded all his voice lines and was involved every step of the way; his dedication to his craft and professionalism is unmatched. We feel very privileged to have him and to our players: you’re in for a treat.”
This is a cool collaboration and more than likely will be one of Dead by Daylight’s biggest hits among its released dlcs so far. Let us know in the comments below what you think of the teaser trailer.
