Atmospheric and creepy, Offseason sets up our protagonist, Marie, to go to an island via subterfuge for a welfare check on her mother’s gravesite. It has been reported that vandals have disturbed the grave and Maria should come immediately to inspect the damage. The streaming service Shudder has acquired the movie and released a new clip today wherein Marie questions the meaning of her presence on the island.

Where to watch
Shudder is pretty much the winner of horror streaming sites that have come out over the past five years. And today they announced that Offseason will premiere on their service starting June 10. As an exclusive, Shudder will be the only subscription service to stream the movie for its subscribers in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
The talent
Written and directed by Mickey Keating (Psychopaths), Offseason stars Jocelin Donahue (Doctor Sleep), Joe Swanberg (The Rental, “Easy”), Richard Brake (3 From Hell, Mandy), Melora Walters (The Pale Door, “Pen15”) and Jeremy Gardner (After Midnight, The Mind’s Eye).
Donahue is no stranger to horror movies. She’s been in the business for 16 years, but it wasn’t until Ti West’s House of the Devil (2009) that she became widely recognized as a leading actress. From there she went on to star in Insidious: Chapter 2, Dead Awake, and Doctor Sleep.
