Stranger Things 4 has rocketed into record territory on Netflix. The return of the series has brought in 286.79M hours viewed over its premiere weekend. That’s a heck load of households tuning in to watch the latest Hawkins gang adventure.
The synopsis for Stranger Things 4 goes like this:
It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier.
Series streaming records weren’t the only thing that was broken with the arrival of Stranger Things 4. The Kate Bush song Running Up That Hill also brought back Bush’s hit song and launched it up the charts on streaming platforms. The song is featured in a huge scene in the series and then played quite a few times there after.
Fans now have to wait a month for the return and finale of Stranger Things 4: Volume II. It is going to be a doozy of a wait considering the big cliff hanger that the series leaves audiences with.
