Fred Ward, a renowned character actor who starred in Tremors, The Right Stuff, The Crow: Salvation, has died. A rep for the “Exit Speed” star confirmed that he died last weekend.
“I am sad to announce the passing of acclaimed actor Fred Ward, who passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at age 79,” the statement read.
Ward’s rep Ron Hofmann told The Post his cause of death would not be revealed at this time — but they did share his last wishes:

His most recent work is in the second season of HBO’s “True Detective” as Eddie Velcoro, the retired cop father of Colin Farrell’s Det. Ray Velcoro.
