An innovative and relentless slasher that follows the gory story from the killer’s point of view (in this case, the recently resurrected and violently vengeful Johnny, played forebodingly by Ry Barrett), In a Violent Nature is now playing in theaters via IFC Films and Shudder. To celebrate the film’s release, Daily Dead caught up with writer/director Chris Nash to discuss his unique feature-length directorial debut, including the ambitious logistics of following the film’s killer through the woods, the cut footage that would give the movie even more of a horror hangout vibe, his plans to tell more stories in the world of In a Violent Nature, and he also shared his affection for Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (one of my personal favorites from the Friday the 13th franchise)!
