According to a report by Snopes, Meta started displaying advertisements for a casino app called The Beast Plinko on Instagram in May 2024. The advertisers behind The Beast Plinko reportedly used AI deepfakes of other celebrities to promote the app. They even made it seem that newscasters such as CNN’s Laura Coates and Fox News’ Sean Hannity have reported on The Beast Plinko.

However, no such app exists.
