Adam Sandler’s latest role is in Netflix’s Jay Kelly. The film, from director Noah Baumbach, sees Sandler star as the manager to Hollywood star Jay Kelly (played by George Clooney). It debuted on Netflix on December 5, 2025. While the film has earned mixed reviews, Sandler’s role in the film has earned some big praise.
JMuvies’ John Urbancich calls Sandler “simply terrific,” while Commentary Track’s Matt Goldberg also praises Sandler with an “outstanding performance.” Many other reviews also highlight the relationship between Sandler and Clooney as the best parts of the movie.
