Episode 12 of Lovely Runner aired on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, on tvN and Viki. The new episode sees Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok) and Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) traveling to Danpo-Ri, along with Kim Tae Sung (Song Geon-Hee), to look for Baek In Hyuk. While there, the four of them seemed to have a wonderful time together.
Lovely Runner episode 12 also shows some heartwarming romantic moments between Sol and Sun Jae as the two come closer. Sun Jae even tells Sol that he loves her. However, their happiness is short-lived, as Sol has to lie to Ryu Sun Jae to protect him. She stays back in Danpo-Ri to keep Sun Jae safe from the criminal Kim Young Soo.
Lovely Runner Episode 12: Kim Hye Yoon lies to Byeon Woo Seok to protect him
Episode 12 of Lovely Runner begins on an enthralling note, with Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) returning home with Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok) while holding hands. Now that they are a couple, the two spend a lot of quality time together.
Meanwhile, Sol’s best friend, Lee Hyun Joo, and Sol’s brother, Lim Geum, are also in a romantic relationship. However, they are hiding it from Sol. But soon, Sun Jae and Sol catch the two hiding inside their place. Although she is initially furious about this relationship, Sol later decides to accept it as she already knows that her brother and Hyun Joo are just meant to be.
Later on, in Lovely Runner episode 12, viewers learn that Sun Jae’s friend and bandmate, Baek In Hyuk, has returned to his hometown. It is a seaside town called Danpo-Ri. Sun Jae wants to convince Baek In Hyuk not to quit music. Thus, Sun Jae and Sol decide to find In Hyuk in this small town. Kim Tae Sung (Song Geon-Hee) offers to drive them there in his brand-new imported car. After arriving at Danpo-Ri, they soon find Baek In Hyuk and immediately run to him. Meanwhile, Tae Sung’s new car ends up in the seawater.
Despite what happens to Tae Sung’s car, the four of them enjoy their time together in the seaside town. Sun Jae and Sol also get to spend some alone time at Baek In Hyuk’s place as the others go fishing. They share some heart-fluttering romantic moments. However, their happiness does not last very long as Sol realizes that the criminal, Kim Young Soo, will soon arrive at Danpo-Ri to cause harm to her. Thus, she decides to lie to Sun Jae to keep him safe from the terrible man.
At the end of Lovely Runner episode 12, while on the train to return home, Sol deceives Ryu Sun Jae. She pretends to have become the past version of Sol, who does not have a relationship with Ryu Sun Jae and always stays away from him. She suddenly tells Sun Jae to keep his distance from her. Sol then gets off the train, saying she will travel alone.
Sun Jae is heartbroken as he thinks that the future version of Sol has now time-traveled back to the future. The train leaves the station, and Im Sol stays back at Danpo-Ri. She does this to tackle and fight Kim Young Soo on her own. The episode ends with Kim Young Soo arriving at Danpo-Ri.
