Worst Roommate Ever Season 1, Episodes 4 and 5 highlighted the case of Jamison Bachman, a serial squatter who terrorized his various roommates for decades. He would move in with victims, sometimes using the alias Jed Creek, and use his knowledge of the law to avoid eviction for years. Eventually, his behavior caught up with him, and he began getting arrested. We’ll cover what happened to Jamison Bachman in the end and how he arrived there below.
Where is Jamison Bachman after the events of Worst Roommate Ever?
Jamison Bachman is dead. He hung himself in a jail cell on December 8, 2017.
In late 2017, Bachman was arrested twice for violating a protective order filed against him by former roommate Alex Miller. Both times, his brother Harry bailed him out but wouldn’t allow him to stay at his house. Tragically, the second time Harry bailed his brother out, Jamison repaid Harry by killing him.
On November 3, 2017, Jamison Bachman beat his brother to death. There’s no record of what led up to the murder, but afterward, Jamison stole Harry’s credit card and vehicle and checked into a local hotel under his now-dead brother’s name.
According to a Montgomery County, PA District Attorney press release, later that night, police tracked Jamison to the room, and a SWAT team broke down the door. According to an affidavit, when SWAT entered the room, Bachman rushed them with an ax. Still, they were able to arrest him without any casualties.
Bachman’s preliminary hearing was set for December 11, 2017. However, it was canceled after his suicide. Our research turned up no last words, and Jamison’s passing was met with relief by most, if not all, who heard about it. He left behind no spouse or children.
His death closed a dark chapter for his victims, who had endured years of fear and manipulation. The case remains a chilling reminder of the dangers posed by manipulative individuals who take advantage of the kindness of strangers.
