At WWE WrestleMania 40, Rhea Ripley retained her title by defeating Becky Lynch. Following her win last week on WWE RAW, Ripley was attacked backstage by Liv Morgan. Fans speculate that Ripley might have suffered the injury during the backstage brawl with Morgan.
The new edition of WWE RAW was held in Canada at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. The performance kicked off with Rhea Ripley taking the stage, who appeared with a sling on her right arm. Ripley addressed the elephant in the room by revealing that she has to relinquish her title and would be out of action for a few months.
She laid her title on the mat and called Liv Morgan a coward for blindsiding her. Ripley also issued a warning to whoever wins her title — “…when she comes back, she’s coming back for blood.”
Ripley is then interrupted by Liv Morgan, who is held back by security as she comes down the ramp. Security approaches Ripley at ringside, and she drops one of them with a headbutt, bringing the segment to an end.
