Jenny Hval has canceled her forthcoming North American tour dates in support of her new album, Iris Silver Mist. The Norwegian artist shared the news in a statement posted to social media earlier today (June 30). Hval was set to perform in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Vancouver, Chicago, Toronto, and New York this September. Read her full message below.
Hval did not share a specific reason for the cancellation. Artists such as FKA Twigs and Mexico’s Grupo Firme, however, have struggled with obtaining timely U.S. tour visas under the Trump administration. “I’m really sorry for the change and hope to see you at another show soon,” Hval wrote. She last toured North America in 2022.
Hval released Iris Silver Mist in May. Her ninth studio album was led by the singles “To Be a Rose” and “The Artist is Absent.”

Jenny Hval:
Friends in North America — I’ve got some unfortunate news. For various reasons I’m not able to travel to North America in September, and so we have had to cancel the tour we had planned.
Refunds will be processed automatically through your original point of purchase, so you don’t need to do anything on your end. Just give it up to 30 days for everything to go through.
Thanks so much for your understanding — I’m really sorry for the change and hope to see you at another show soon.
