Lana Del Rey did not win an award at this year’s Grammy Awards, but her appearance at Sunday’s awards shows generated all sorts of headlines. This was partly because she now zero wins against 11 nominations, and partly because she was awkwardly dragged on stage after Taylor Swift won Album of the Year (a category in which Del Rey herself was also nominated).
In her first Instagram post since Sunday’s show, Del Rey shared a series of photos and video from the night, including a clip of Swift winning Album of the Year and another clip of the two posing for a glambot. There are also several behind-the-scenes photos of Del Rey with producer Jack Antonoff and others. But to close the carousel, Del Rey included a selfie in which she poses with a gun in her right hand.
Del Rey also posted the same picture of her with the gun alongside an image of a poster for Coachella 2024 — which she is headlining.
There was no caption included with either post, but the message seems pretty clear: Lana is out for revenge.
Aside from her headlining appearance at Coachella, Del Rey has a country album on the way: titled Lasso, it’s reportedly set for release in September — well before the deadline for next year’s Grammys.
