Having recently announced their UK and Ireland headline tour, Public Image Ltd (PiL) have added more dates for 2025.

Fronted by former Sex Pistols vocalist John Lydon, the post-punk band last performed in the UK in September 2023 before embarking on a run of European dates in support of their 11th and most recent studio album, last year’s ‘End Of World’.
Lydon later said that he thought the group may not tour together again, comments which came after his lifelong friend and manager, John Rambo Stevens, died suddenly following the last PiL tour, in December 2023. Lydon’s wife, Nora, also passed away that April.
However, the outpouring of support he received from fans when he undertook a spoken word tour of the UK earlier this year inspired him to hit the road with PiL once again.
In November, they announced what was initially a 23-date run, with the ‘This Is Not The Last Tour’ kicking off in May 2025, making stops in Bristol, Newcastle, Dublin, Cardiff, Oxford, Sheffield, Northampton, Holmfirth, Coventry, Cork and more.

Now, the band have announced additional dates, including further shows in Torquay, Brighton, Warrington and Cheltenham. Tickets go on general sale at 10am GMT this Wednesday (December 18) – you’ll be able to buy yours here.

Speaking about the upcoming tour, Lydon said: “With so many people asking and with the band meaning so much to them, I couldn’t just stay on my sofa and not tour – tempting though that obviously is.”
Meanwhile, Frank Carter and Sex Pistols’ Glen Matlock, Paul Cook and Steve Jones recently joined forces to perform ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’ in its entirety on a run of UK concerts, which Lydon did not participate in.
Speaking to NME earlier this year, Carter shared how the idea to collaborate came about. “I first met Steve [Jones, guitarist] back in Los Angeles in 2007 and we had a long chat about punk rock and what it means to be kicking against the pricks,” he said.
“Then I eventually met all of them throughout the years. But when I got the call up for this, it was a very special moment. It’s still one that I’m cherishing and I feel very grateful for.”
Meanwhile, Jones recently revealed he had not spoken to his former bandmate Lydon since their last tour in 2008. During an appearance on the Rockonteurs podcast, he said they had completed a run of festivals and shows that year, and he was “done” after that.
“No more,” he said. “Too much. Too old, too much, not enough done.”
