Paramore played ‘Decode’ at the third of five of Taylor Swift‘s ‘Eras’ shows at Wembley Stadium and dedicated to Robert Pattinson in a nod to Twilight.
Pattison was in attendance at the show on August 17 because his fiancée Suki Waterhouse had performed as the first support act. As such, Paramore played ‘Decode’ — taken from the soundtrack to the 2008 film that made his name.
“Suki [Waterhouse] killed it earlier. But I’d like to dedicate this next song to Mr. Waterhouse. He has the skin of a killer, Bella,” said frontwoman Hayley Williams.
“This is for you Robert!” she added as they started playing.

Paramore performed “Decode” and, as a surprise, dedicated the song to Robert Pattinson, who is at Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour today, accompanying Suki Waterhouse.

Indeed, some fans even wondered if Paramore would do such a thing when Waterhouse was announced as one of the supports for the final ‘Eras’ UK shows. “paramore have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever that night (play decode in the presence of robert pattinson),” one fan wrote on X/Twitter.
Waterhouse had told Rolling Stone that she had been trying to manifest earning an opening slot for Swift.
“I was dreaming, dreaming, dreaming of this happening,” she told the outlet. “I was manifesting super hard. So when [I found out], I was like, yes, dreams can come true.”
In a five-star review of her UK ‘Eras Tour’ opener in Edinburgh, NME wrote: “Despite being an arena show, in a huge, cavernous venue, Swift and her fans have managed to cultivate a community.
“Strangers swap friendship bracelets, laugh and cry together, and embrace the tour’s in-jokes and lore (for example shouting “one, two, three, let’s go bitch” during ‘Delicate’). It’s the power of Swift, an artist who’s inspired not only the renaming of a Scottish Loch, but also countless fans to come out and embrace being a part of the Eras family.
“With the ‘Eras Tour’, then, Swift’s managed to craft a marvel of a show that comes with a beating heart.”
In other Paramore news, Williams recently responded to Paramore being “one of only two bands that include women” in the ‘most-streamed rock acts’ chart, sharing that she hopes to see more diverse representation in the future.
“Not the casual U2 diss lmao?!! Their Live At Red Rocks film still gives me such a buzz. Just a tight ass band with huge vocals,” she began, referencing how they beat out the Irish band to be placed at Number 20.
“We are one of only two bands that include women in the Top 20 of all time. Of course I’m beyond honoured, but in my lifetime I hope to see more women, more LGBTQ+, and black/brown talent on this list,” she added. “Also ‘rock’ is funny… are Paramore a rock band or just not quite 100 per cent pop? What tf are we?”
