Alabama Barker Rushed To Hospital – And Her Story Is SUCH A Cautionary Tale!

Alabama Barker was unexpectedly rushed to an El Lay hospital this month, and her story should seriously be seen as a cautionary tale.

According to a Monday night report via TMZ, Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler‘s daughter was transported to a Los Angeles-area hospital sometime recently and diagnosed with a terrifying nicotine withdrawal.

At some point before her birthday (which also happens to be Christmas Eve), the 19-year-old abruptly quit vaping to focus on pursuing a rap career. Sources say music industry folks have been urging Alabama to quit hitting the vape pen in order to preserve her voice. So, earlier this month, she did just that. Good for her, right?!

Well, yes! But there was an unexpected problem with it, too. See, TMZ reports that Landon Barker‘s little sister stopped vaping cold turkey. Like, she just completely quit the nasty nicotine habit in one day in order to proactively preserve her voice and keep pushing with her music career. But because she didn’t taper down from her prior use, she left her body vulnerable to a REALLY troublesome withdrawal!

Sources say Alabama was alone one day this month when she began to feel panicked and unwell. The attack was serious enough for her to call 911, and paramedics rushed over. They transported her to a local hospital, where doctors checked her over and eventually determined that she was going through a painful and scary nicotine withdrawal. Alabama had failed to slowly wean herself off the vape pen — and abruptly going from habitual vaping to nothing left her feeling awful enough to call 911.

So scary!

Doctors warned Alabama about the dangers of quitting cold turkey, got her body (and mind) back on track, and sent her on her way. Thankfully, the unexpected medical emergency doesn’t appear to have had any short-term negative consequences, as the teenager has been flaunting her Christmas haul in recent days.

It does make us wonder whether the aftermath of the withdrawal situation might have been the reason for her absence from stepmomma Kourtney Kardashian‘s otherwise-full family photo on Christmas Eve?!?! Pure speculation there, obvi. Just wondering!
