Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor have a long way to go before they can amicably co-parent together!
Weeks after the 35-year-old reality star filed for divorce, she shared an update with People on Thursday about how she and Jax are doing when it comes to raising their 3-year-old son Cruz. As you know, breakups are not easy, especially when a kid is involved. However, the former couple are doing their best to prioritize their little guy during this difficult time. Great!

Their co-parenting relationship, on the other hand? It is not 100 percent there yet. The wounds are still too fresh right now. But Brittany thinks they will get to a “healthy” place one day. They just have a lot of work to do first! She explained:
“He’s a great dad. Great dad, terrible husband. I’m not ever going to take Cruz away from him. We will always put Cruz first and we are going to work towards a healthy co-parenting relationship. It’s going to take some time. Still, things are very raw between us, but for the most part, I do know if I needed something, if Cruz needed something, I could call him and he would be there for us.”
Well, Jax is determined to be an “excellent ex-husband” moving forward! For the sake of Brittany, we sure hope so! LOLz! But in all seriousness, we want to see her and Jax have a good co-parenting relationship for Cruz. Hopefully the pair can get to that place once the dust has settled.
Thoughts, Perezcious readers? Do you feel Brittany and Jax will be able to co-parent together in the future? Let us know in the comments!
