Celebs Who’ve Revealed Their Autism Diagnosis: Nathan Sykes and More

Throughout the years, more and more Hollywood A-listers have opened up about their autism diagnosis.

In October 2024, Tamra Judge revealed that while in therapy she discovered that she is “on the spectrum,” meaning she has a neurological disorder affecting interaction and communication with others, per the National Institute of Mental Health.

“We’re trying to work through that. I have a really hard time processing stuff,” the Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed on her and Teddi Mellencamp’s “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast.

During a September 2025 appearance on the “Juicy Scoop With Heather McDonald” podcast, King shared she was diagnosed autistic.

“I found out in my late 20s. It came about through getting tested because I realized that by having ADHD, then there was a possibility that the other thing would be the case,” she explained to host Heather McDonald. “I was getting my masters in spiritual science and psychology and I just started to really understand, ‘Oh that’s the thing in me that’s kind of different than other people.’ It’s just the way that my brain processes and how I relate or connect to the world is not like normal per se. It’s a gift.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 competitor Ginger Minj is opening up about her recent autism diagnosis and the role the show has played in her health journey.

“To be candid, I didn’t find out that I was truly autistic — of course I had my assumptions through my life — until we did the casting process for All Stars 10 and I went in for my psychiatric evaluation,” Minj revealed while speaking to Entertainment Weekly for an interview published on June 14.

“The way I communicated, the therapist said, ‘Are you autistic? Are you on the spectrum?’ I had my suspicions, but I said I’d never been tested,” she continued. “He said he’d like me to be tested. So, I did. I got tested, and I am.”

The Drag Race star went on to explain that the diagnosis put “40 years of my existence into perspective.”

In October 2024, the RHOC star shared on an episode of her and Mellencamp’s “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast that she was “on the spectrum.”

“There’s gonna have to be a lot of changes moving forward,” Tamra explained, noting that she discussed her social anxiety with her therapist. “It’s because the anxiety that I have when I talk to people and how I make it through the show is drinking. … All this suppressed s— that’s going on within me comes out when I drink because my guard is down.”

Bella Ramsey

The Last of Us star revealed in March 2025 that she was diagnosed with autism while filming season 1 of the HBO show. Ramsey, who uses they/them pronouns, shared that growing up they “always wondered” if they had autism but they never acted on that assumption until a crew member whose daughter has autism assumed Ramsey’s condition and prompted them to seek a formal psychiatric assessment.

“I’ve always been watching and learning from people. Having to learn more manually how to socialize and interact with the people around me has helped with acting,” they told British Vogue, noting that receiving an official diagnosis felt “freeing” at the end of the day. “It enables me to walk through the world with more grace towards myself about not being able to do the easy everyday tasks that everyone else seems to be able to do.”

Ramsey explained that the “label of being autistic” has been helpful to them in understanding themself.

“But gender and sexuality-wise, labels do not feel comfy for me in any capacity, because I feel like I’m putting myself into a box. I feel trapped,” they noted, adding that the autism diagnosis allows them to “unmask immediately.”

The “Genesis” singer shared in March 2025 that she was diagnosed with ADHD and autism.

“I feel, like, had we known this when I was a child, I would have worked so much less hard, been on drugs, and so many of the weird obsessions and motivations I had would have been seen as pathological and I could have written off certain things that were very hard for me but I’m glad I overcame them,” she explained via X.

In March 2024, the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis took to social media to share a video of herself as a child rubbing her dad’s ear — which led her to reveal her autism diagnosis.

“Tell me you’re autistic without telling me you’re autistic 😂,” she captioned the video. In the comment section, she noted that it was the “first time” she’d ever “publicly” opened up about her diagnosis. “Found out this summer and it’s changed my life ☀️.”

The “Heartless” rapper said in February 2025 that his wife, Bianca Censori, was unconvinced by his initial bipolar diagnosis, which led him to go to a doctor and find out he had autism.

“Autism takes you to a Rain Man thing,” he said on Justin Laboy’s “The Download” podcast. “‘I’ma wear this [Donald] Trump hat because I like Trump in general.’ And then when people tell you to not do it, you just get on that one point. And that’s my problem.”

Holly Madison

The former Playboy House Bunny revealed in December 2023 that she was on the autism spectrum.

“I’ve been suspicious of it for a while because my mom told me that she was always suspicious that that was a thing,” she said in an episode of the “Talking to Death” podcast, noting that she frequently zoned out as a kid and “had trouble” recognizing social cues. “I just made excuses for it. I thought it was because I grew up in Alaska, and then around middle school, moved to Oregon and I thought, ‘Well that was just a big social change.’ So I’m just very introverted. Like, that’s kind of always how I wrote it off.”

Madison went on to explain that doctors told her she has “high-executive functioning” autism, meaning she “can go about [her] life and do things ‘normally.’”

“I think because I’m more quiet, I’ve only recently learned to make eye contact [and] I’m often off in my own thoughts, so people take that as offensive,” she said. “I’m just not on the same social wavelength as other people, but don’t take it personally.”

The Bachelor alum took to Instagram in February 2022 to share that she was diagnosed with autism after undergoing a psychological test.

“There is a huge stigma when it comes to autism. I encourage you to be open minded and accepting,” she wrote. “All I want is to have a better quality of life ❤️I will share more on my story of my evaluation and how I got to this point and all of my pain and struggles along the way. I want to make sure anyone who is/was feeling like me can know you really aren’t alone. It can get better! And most importantly it isn’t your fault ❤️.”

The Challenge: Ride or Dies star revealed on the series’ March 2023 reunion show that she was diagnosed as autistic.

“I struggle in social settings, and this pressure has been so much on me,” she told her costars. “And I’ve taken meds for depression and anxiety in this game, and I’ve told people I haven’t because it was embarrassing. I wish I would’ve found out a lot sooner because I’ve struggled with my identity for 34 years.”

Borzotra shared she is “still learning a lot about the diagnosis,” but she often “camouflages [herself] to fit in.”

“So, if I see someone hugging someone, like doing something, I feel I have to mirror that. Like, I stim a lot. I don’t know if you guys know, I rub my hands a lot, I bite my lip or twirl my hair. I don’t know. It’s difficult at my age, finding out later also in life,” she said, noting she hopes she can be a “good influence to other neurodivergent” people. “It feels good to, I don’t know, be myself.”

Anthony Hopkins

The award-winning actor announced in January 2017 that he was diagnosed with Asperger’s, a form of autism.

“My wife was trying to figure out who she was married to and she read a newsletter from a psychotherapist,” Hopkins told the Desert Sun in an interview, noting that people with the condition “tend to be creative or severely handicapped.”

“I don’t know if that’s true of me, but I know I can never be restful,” he explained. “I tend to multi-task. I decide I’m not going to paint and then I’ll spend 24 hours painting.”

The Blade Runner opened up in September 2013 about being diagnosed with autism when she was a child and the impact it had on her Hollywood career.

“I’ve never been comfortable being the center of attention. It’s always freaked me out,” she told People in September 2013, adding that she would refuse to do promotional talk show appearances because she was “terrified.” .

“I wasted so much time scared, self-conscious and insecure,” she added.

In May 2021, the businessman shared he was diagnosed with Asperger’s when he was young.

“I don’t always have a lot of intonation or variation in how I speak … which I’m told makes for great comedy,” he said while hosting Saturday Night Live at the time. “I’m actually making history tonight as the first person with Asperger’s to host SNL.”

The Britain’s Got Talent singer got candid in December 2013 about being diagnosed with Asperger’s.

“It is a relief. Asperger’s doesn’t define me,” she explained to The Guardian. “It’s a condition that I have to live with and work through, but I feel more relaxed about myself. People will have a greater understanding of who I am and why I do the things I do.”

Aykroyd shared in December 2013 that he was diagnosed with Asperger’s in the early 80s after his wife persuaded him to see a doctor.

“One of my symptoms included my obsession with ghosts and law enforcement — I carry around a police badge with me, for example,” he told The Daily Mail. “I became obsessed by Hans Holzer, the greatest ghost hunter ever. That’s when the idea of my film Ghostbusters was born.”

The Prison Break actor revealed in July 2021 that he was diagnosed with autism as an adult.

“This isn’t something I’d change … immediately being autistic is central to who I am. To everything I’ve achieved/articulated,” he wrote via Instagram. “I don’t know enough about autism. (There’s a lot to know.) Right now my work looks like evolving my understanding. Re-examining 5 decades of lived experience thru a new lens.”

In a 1994 interview with Rolling Stone, Love mentioned that she had autism.

“At an early age, I would not speak,” she explained. “Then I simply bloomed. My first visit to a psychiatrist was when I was, like, three. Observational therapy. TM for tots. You name it, I’ve been there.”

The “Unstoppable” singer revealed she was on the spectrum in May 2023.

“For 45 years, I was like, ‘I’ve got to go put my human suit on,’” she said on an episode of “Rob Has a Podcast.” “And only in the last two years have I become fully, fully myself.”

The Teen Mom star opened up about being diagnosed with autism at age 33.

“It felt like a big sigh of relief. Then I got really sad and I was like, ‘Wow,’” he said during an August 2025 episode of his and wife Catelynn Baltierra’s “Cate & Ty Break It Down” podcast. “I just thought about all the things I went through as a kid. I just felt so sad for that little kid who wondered, ‘What’s wrong with me? Something’s wrong, why am I not normal?’”

Tyler added that his test results stated he was on the spectrum and his doctor explained that he “ranked super high in masking.”

“I think the diagnosis was a massive help in me understanding myself and being able to process that, and I think accept myself,” he said on the British talk show Lorraine. “For so long, I’ve always felt that there’s a part of me that I didn’t quite understand, and I’ve said no to so many opportunities because I didn’t know how I work in certain situations and I always felt quite unpredictable.”

Sykes added that receiving his diagnosis helped him grieve the loss of former bandmate Tom Parker, who died in 2020 at age 33 after a battle with stage IV glioblastoma.

“I think with autism, everyone experiences it differently, so everyone will react differently in different situations. It’s not one size fits all, but for me, I struggle to understand emotions and read emotional cues,” he explained.
