Whoa! Six months after federal agents raided his mansions in Beverly Hills and Miami, music mogul Diddy — whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested Monday night at Park Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan.
Now, the charges against him are currently unclear, but we do know the bust is in connection to an ongoing investigation by Homeland Security. Per TMZ, the feds were scheduled to cuff the 54-year-old rapper on Tuesday, but they decided to move in tonight. Hmm.. wonder why! The outlet reports they’ve even gotten word agents are currently searching the midtown hotel room he was staying in before the arrest.

In a statement to CNN, his attorney Marc Agnifilo wrote:
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person but is not criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
Not criminal? We all saw that hotel tape from years ago right? The one in which he violently assaulted then-girlfriend Cassie?
Not to mention the multiple lawsuits and seemingly endless allegations of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking against him.

As for what Monday’s arrest was for, it sounds like we’ll find out soon enough. While the disgraced hitmaker stays the night in federal custody, awaiting his arraignment on Tuesday, United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams said in a statement:
“Earlier this evening, federal agents arrested Sean Combs, based on a sealed indictment filed by the SDNY. We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time.”
That’s right. They’ve got a GRAND JURY indictment. This sounds like it’s gonna be big, folks. We’ll be sure to update you as this story develops.
