Diddy and Kim Porter‘s kids are speaking out as new rumors about their mother’s passing have started spreading.
The couple shared Christian Combs, 26, and twins Jessie Combs and D’Lila Combs, 17. Kim also previously welcomed Quincy Taylor Brown, 33, with Al B. Sure! before Diddy eventually adopted him.
Per DailyMail.com earlier this month, just days before P. Diddy’s arrest, a 60-page book the model allegedly wrote before her death was published. The book, entitled Kim’s Lost Words, was supposedly released with the help of friends. It details her complicated romance with the rapper, including claims of physical abuse and death threats, along with more of the musician’s alleged nefarious ways.
Along with calling him out for wild parties and orgies, she claimed she’d found sex tapes of her partner hooking up with “young boys” he was managing as well as an 18-year-old pop star who went on to become a household name. She allegedly made copies of the sex tapes as protection for herself as part of a plan to leave him. Among many other allegations, the book, which is currently a best seller on Amazon, ends with Kim falling ill, texting her friends, “he got me,” and calling 911.

Chris Todd, the LA-based publisher and producer behind the memoir, told the outlet that Kim gave a thumb drive of her writing to “close friends” before her death, which he obtained and lightly edited into a book under the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood. He also claimed his source was willing to hand over the sex tapes if he wanted and that the one involving the teenage pop star had allegedly been shopped around to Hollywood studios by other parties. Awful. That said, he didn’t offer any evidence to prove the book’s authenticity. And now, Kim’s family is breaking their silence!
On Tuesday, the former couple’s children released a joint statement on Instagram blasting the new memoir and conspiracy theories swirling about their mother, who died of pneumonia at the age of 47 in 2018. They wrote:
“We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs‘ relationship, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out. Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Additionally, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart.”
Insisting there “was no foul play” involved in her unexpected death, they continued:
“Our lives were shattered when we lost our mom. She was our world, and nothing has been the same since she passed. While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play. Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day. We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories.”
They concluded:
“We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves. We love you and miss you Mommy.”
Oof. So terrible for them to have to deal with this amid an already stressful time! As Perezcious readers know, their dad’s been in jail since last week when he was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and more. He was denied bail and placed on suicide watch. A People insider previously claimed the Last Night artist has “been able to speak briefly to family members and his children via phone” and is “very concerned” for them. Although, it is interesting to see that they did not address his current legal crisis at all during this latest statement. Hmm…
FWIW, Sean’s lawyer also spoke out about these new rumors, telling People on Tuesday that the memoir is “fake,” “offensive” and “a shameless attempt to profit from tragedy.” And then, when interviewed by Rolling Stone this week, the publisher himself revealed that he’s not even sure if the content is real. Wait, WHAT?! He said:
“If somebody put my feet to the fire and they said, ‘Life or death, is that book real?’ I have to say I don’t know. But it’s real enough to me.”
Jeez. FWIW, Todd previously published a book titled Ron’s Revenge about an O.J. Simpson conspiracy theory, so this isn’t his first time stirring up celebrity true crime theories. But to publish something like this without knowing if it’s even true is f**king wild and harmful!
