The injector made a step-by-step video about how she’d change Natalia’s face.
This is Miranda Wilson. She’s a nurse practitioner in Laguna Beach, California. Miranda has a TikTok account, where she shares the do’s and don’ts of injectables and beauty treatments.
Well, Miranda got into hot water after she made a TikTok about how she would “treat” Natalia Dyer from Stranger Things, if she was her injector.
She deleted the TikTok, but people still saved the video. It featured her green screen-ed in front of a red carpet pic of Natalia. “Alright guys, let’s talk about Natalia Dyer from Stranger Things,” she began the video. “So, if I was Natalia’s injector, this is what I would do.”
“We’d start by treating those masseters. We all know how much I love treating masseters to help slim the face,” she said.
“Next, I would add a little bit of chin filler, just to help fill out her chin and make her face more of a heart shape,” she said.
“Next, I would add a little bit to the lips. Just a little bit, nothing crazy — just a nice pout.”
“Then, we’d get in there and do a little bit of Botox. I’d give her a nice brow lift to open up her eyes.”
“And to top it off, we’d start working with some Sculptra [filler]. She does seem to have some thin skin. We wanna prevent that from getting thinner and create more collagen.”
Then, the injector shared how she photoshopped Natalia, based on these hypothetical alterations. “Tada!” she said. “As we can tell, her jaw is slimmer. Her chin is more pointy, and her eyebrows are lifted. Gotta love that pout.”
People were furious at the whole situation. One tweet with over 300,000 likes read, “I could never be a celebrity because if someone made a video like this about me, I would get violent.”
People emphasized that not everyone needs to look the same. “I’m tired of everyone being expected to look the exact same and being insulted for not fitting the mold,” another person said.
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with getting botox, fillers, and beauty treatments. But making a whole-ass video — unprompted, unsolicited — dedicated to how you’d alter someone else’s face is not OK.
Natalia has not responded to the video, but we will update you if she does.
