Jamie Foxx is addressing the wild conspiracy theories about his health scare, including the one about Diddy!
Don’t know that rumor? Here’s a refresher! The actor was hospitalized in 2023 after he suffered a “medical complication” while filming the Netflix movie Back In Action in Atlanta. What it was? No one knew for months, which led to some insane rumors about what happened — like that Diddy tried to kill him!
Producer Choke No Joke began the Diddy theory, claiming Jamie told the audience of his show Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was that he “called the FBI” on the disgraced music mogul, so Puffy allegedly got revenge and put him in the hospital. He explained:
“He caught Jamie filming allegedly or whatever. They told Jamie to chill, he didn’t chill, and allegedly Diddy and his security beat Jamie’s ass and that’s why Jamie was in the hospital. Allegedly, right? But then there’s the thing where they’re saying they gave him some type of pill or something that knocked him out, but it all was allegedly connected back to Diddy because something happened with Diddy and Jamie.”

According to Choke, Jamie wasn’t “joking.” He was dead serious. Considering Diddy allegedly tried to harm Kid Cudi through a car bombing (or his numerous allegations of violence against others), the producer’s theory isn’t hard to believe! However, the rapper wasn’t involved in Jamie’s life-threatening situation! He actually suffered a “brain bleed that led to a stroke.”
Now, the Django Unchained star wants to make it very clear that the Bad Boy Records founder wasn’t responsible for the medical crisis… and he was not cloned! Granted, even Jamie was convinced by the cloning theory while “heavily sedated” in the hospital! LOLz!
During The Hollywood Reporter’s Stand-Up Comedy Roundtable on Thursday, the Oscar winner opened up about his hospitalization, saying:
“I was doing so many jokes in the hospital. That’s the only way I could get through it. I’m a comic, so even when I was heavily sedated, and they gave me OxyContin, Dilantin and morphine at the same time …”
Jeez!
As Jamie put it, he was “f**ked up” on those drugs. And with nothing else to do, he couldn’t help but take a peek at what the world had to say about his hospitalization and stumbled upon those Diddy accusations:
“It was, ‘This is for your pain, and this is so you don’t remember it.’ So, they Men in Black-ed me, and I’m f**ked up, and this isn’t funny, but I snuck in my phone because I didn’t know what the outside world was saying and I couldn’t get my mind around the fact that I had a stroke. I’m in f**king perfect shape. [I see things like,] ‘Puffy tried to kill me.’”
However, Jamie stressed again that the claim isn’t true! He added:
“No, Puffy didn’t try to kill me.”
Can you blame folks for believing the rumor? We hadn’t received answers about what happened! It was one giant mystery! By that time, we also heard a lot about the alleged diabolical behavior of Diddy, so the theory seemed pretty plausible!
When it came to the clone speculation, though? Jamie 100 percent believed it while medicated — or “on another planet,” as he said! The In Living Color alum continued:
“When they said I was a clone, that made me flip. I’m sitting in the hospital bed, like, ‘These bitch-ass motherf**kers are trying to clone me.’ And then I saw me walk into my room, but I’m white, so I see the white me. The next morning, I said, ‘I know what’s up, you’re trying to clone me and make me white so I’ll sell better overseas.’”
Naturally, Jamie’s doctor was concerned by all this talk! He recalled:
“The psychiatrist says, ‘Are you all right?’ And I say, ‘Am I all right or am I all white? I saw you trying to get the white motherf**king Jamie Foxx and it ain’t going to happen.’ He just calmly goes, ‘I think we’re going to lower your dosage.’”
Ha!
Clone and Diddy talk aside, Jamie, thankfully, recovered from the incident! And we’re glad he can poke fun at the scary situation now! Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments!
