Pregnant Woman Stabbed 14 Times – Over Bad Tip For Pizza Delivery, Say Cops!

This is one of the craziest true crime stories we’ve heard about this year! A pregnant woman in Florida was stabbed multiple times – all because of a bad tip on a pizza delivery!

According to a press release on Facebook from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, they responded to reports about a “home invasion” and “stabbing” at the Riviera Motel in Kissimmee on Sunday, December 22. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found a victim, who has since been identified as Melinda Irizarry by ABC News, stabbed multiple times and took her to the hospital. Law enforcement arrested 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo for “home invasion with a firearm, attempted murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault,” per the release.

According to the affidavit obtained by ABC News and NBC News, Irizarry, her boyfriend, and her 5-year-old daughter were at the motel to celebrate a birthday and order a pizza at Marco’s Pizza. Thirty minutes later, Alvelo arrived at the place with the order. Irizarry gave the suspect a $50 bill for the $33 pizza and asked for change back but was told the store policy didn’t allow her to provide change. After finding smaller bills to fulfill the order, per the affidavit, Irizarry gave Alvelo a $2 tip. The woman claimed the delivery person “rolled her eyes and walked away without saying anything.”

However, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said in the release that Alvelo allegedly “became upset about the tip she had received.” Per the affidavit, Alvelo returned to the motel later with an unknown man dressed in all black and wearing masks, with the guy carrying a pistol. The two allegedly forced their way inside the room and ordered Irizarry’s boyfriend to go into the bathroom. The affidavit claimed Alvelo then pulled out a pocket knife and started searching their belongings. It was then that Irizarry said she tried to protect her daughter and was struck in her lower back. The victim then “threw her daughter onto the bed and attempted to pick up her phone,” the affidavit said.

Alvelo then allegedly smashed the phone and hit her “multiple times with the knife” before leaving the room. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office claimed the suspect and the man took items from the room, too. What the f**k.

ABC News reported that the arrest affidavit said Irizarry was stabbed 14 times by Alvelo, suffering from a ruptured lung and wonders to her chest, arms, legs, and abdomen. She underwent surgery for her injuries. What’s even more shocking? While being treated for her wounds at the hospital, the affidavit said, per NBC News, Irizarry found out she was pregnant! OMG! Thankfully, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said the victim is “in stable condition.”

At this time, Alvelo is being held in Osceola County Jail. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office noted in the release that the male suspect is still at large, saying:

“The male suspect has not been identified at this time. If you have information regarding this incident, please contact Crimeline at (800) 423-8477.”
