Shamea Morton Stuns At Essence Festival With Bold New Look

Lots of feedback has been pouring in since Shamea Morton turned heads at the Essence Festival. A few moments were posted during what appeared to have been a panel for the Global Black Economic Forum. Morton then called the panel “amazing” alongside stars such as Eva Marcile and Big Freedia, while new looks were doing the talking.

Morton in the photo would have given Messrs. Glamour and Glitz a run for their money with style, standing tall, the black-and-gold-and-white-pattern jumpsuit doing so in full glory, against a modern marble wall backdrop. Morton’s newly flowing low-attitude hair draped around her shoulders was refreshing to look at, as opposed to her usual bob-locks; mega earrings and a watch added to the statement. The modern seating setup was topped off by a thrill-class bouquet of flowers that said “top-end glam” without a single hiccup.

Fans were all over the hair, praising it. One user commented, “Okay, Shamea, long hair suits you more.” Another urged, “KEEP THIS HAIR!” Another panelist, Kenyat Parham, lauded Morton on showing “vulnerability” during the discussion.

This is not whatever kind of flying-high-and glittering reception the style would have had. Another threw in a disparaging remark, comparing her to Porsha Williams and labeling her as a “lapdog,” sparking a short argument as users told another to “keep it positive.” Another went all out past shadows of the past with a throwback to an alleged insult from Eva Marcille, sparking a mini-clash about growth and forgiveness.

The fashion was much appreciated; another suit yelled, “Come on outfit!! It’s a yes from me, sis.” More fans praised her from head to toe, describing her vibe as “magnetic” and the spirit as “beautiful.”

And while lots of chatter has been thrown her way and some even at brisk speeds, Morton in both her newer looks and old will continue to shine annually. Whether it will be the shiny new look or a reputation for goodness that takes her altitudes is still to be seen. A few glimp_seg of her fabulous look will certainly do!

From the comments, fans don’t seem quite willing to see her ditching that long mane. Because once you found that good, why go back? Morton‘s fans are here to stay!
