“Jude was a big actor for Harvey.”
You probably know that Jude Law and Sienna Miller were an on-again, off-again couple throughout the 2000s.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Sienna said she believes that her relationship with Jude kept her from being “propositioned” by disgraced producer and convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein.
“I was Jude’s girlfriend, and there was probably protection in that,” she said, noting that he was a “big actor” for Harvey.
Sienna also said that she wasn’t “scared” of Harvey because she “was not aware that he was raping people.”
“He asked for one meeting with me in a hotel,” she noted, “and I brought the other producers and it was innocuous. I’ve never been propositioned by anyone for a job.”
But Sienna did recall being screamed at by Harvey after being ordered to attend a meeting with him while she was in the middle of a rehearsal with fellow actor Steve Buscemi.
“He sat me down in his office and said, ‘You’re not fucking going out anymore, you’re not partying, rah rah rah.’ I was having a lot of fun, but I managed to go to work on time.”
“He was standing over me while I was sitting in a chair, lip quivering, and then he slammed the door, and I burst into tears. And then he came back in and said: ‘It’s because I’m fucking proud of you,’ and slammed the door again.”
Sienna also said that she felt “inaugurated” by the experience. “I imagined this is what Hollywood producers were like. I genuinely felt he’d given me the biggest validation. I was so grateful.”
