Prince Harry might be missing his plus-one at King Charles III’s coronation because it sounds like it’s going to be an awkward and lonely party for him!
According to DailyMail.com sources on Thursday, the royal family has “no interest” in talking with the Duke of Sussex “beyond the most basic of greetings” during the festivities, as the outlet put it. Damn!
The only potential exception to this is Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, Harry’s cousins who he’s remained close with throughout the family feud. They’ll certainly be a lifeline for him!

Earlier this year, The Mail learned Prince William had no plans to speak to his brother at the historic event — and his opinion hasn’t changed now that he knows the 38-year-old has RSVP’d. That said, there is the smallest of small chances the estranged brothers could appear together in some fashion as a gesture of goodwill for their father (much like they did with their wives while mourning Queen Elizabeth II), but it sounds *highly* unlikely.
Insiders told The Mail that both Charles and William are still hurt and upset by Harry’s behavior after he slammed the family in a Netflix documentary and explosive memoir. Because of this, they aren’t inclined to apologize to Harry as he has requested or make amends anytime soon. Bummer…

As sad as this is, none of this should be a surprise to the Invictus Games founder. The family drama is exactly why his wife, Meghan Markle, decided to skip the coronation. On Wednesday, a source told Page Six the couple decided it would be “inauthentic” for the Suits alum and their children to attend because of the bad blood between them and the other royals. Someone familiar with the family said:
“They had to make a decision that felt genuine and authentic, especially after everything that has been said and all the things that have gone down. […] They care about their family, so Meghan is going to stay [in California] and Harry is going to support his dad.”
It also helps that the coronation falls on their eldest child Prince Archie‘s fourth birthday, giving the momma bear a perfect excuse to stay in California. And she might have lucked out — it sounds like she’ll be having more fun than Harry at the awkward-as-hell ceremony!
Thoughts?? Do you think William and Charles should be more friendly to Harry when he arrives? Or is this what he deserves after calling them out?
