Faith and Ormewood’s unlikely relationship was one of the highlights of Will Trent Season 3.
The two partnered up during the six months when their partners were both away, and they grew closer.
It has been delightful to watch them tease each other and open up with one another. Many fans have voiced that they hope the two begin dating in Will Trent Season 4.
The series lacks a fun-loving couple, and these two would fit the bill. But should they risk losing that camaraderie if it doesn’t work?
Faith and Ormewood’s Love Lives Have Been Lacking in Will Trent
Neither Faith nor Ormewood has had a serious relationship that was heavily focused on Will Trent.
Faith had a complex history with Jeremy’s father, Charles, but their relationship was dropped again after he briefly appeared in Will Trent Season 1 Episode 6.
Faith had an attraction to a wrongly accused killer, Sam Laporte, in Will Trent Season 1, but that wasn’t meant to last.
She dated Luke during the second season of Will Trent, and many thought she might have a real relationship, but they broke up off-screen.
On the other hand, Ormewood was once married to Gina, and his failed marriage played a significant role in shaping his character.
It allowed for self-reflection and for him to become a better hands-on parent. However, except for flirting with Ariana Madix, he hasn’t dated since his divorce.
He’s still grieving and trying to find someone who likes him for who he is, flaws and all. That’s why he and Faith may be perfect for each other.
Will Trent Found a Delightful, Fun Pairing With Faith and Ormewood
Faith and Ormewood were delightful and fun from the minute Will Trent Season 3 began.
They were pushed to work together more with their partners gone, and it was amusing watching Ormewood rub their newfound friendship in Will’s face.
I still laugh at how Ormewood tried to take care of Faith by bringing her a snack and insisting she eat the damn crackers. Sometimes, the little things make a big difference.
Faith helped Ormewood just as much. When a woman turned him down for a date, and he was having difficulty with his divorce, she picked up the pieces.
Faith let him ramble on and agreed to join him at his favorite Mexican restaurant. After she moved in, it became a tradition for them.
They’d order burritos and watch reality television. Faith used to hate reality TV, but she grew to like it after living with Ormewood.
She used to have less patience with idiots, too, but Ormewood is her loveable idiot when he rambles on.
They balance each other out and bring out the best in each other.
Should Will Trent Risk Their Friendship and Have Faith and Ormewood Date?
We love watching Faith and Ormewood, whether they are partners, roommates, or something more.
Some of the best relationships started as friends. It’s a common trope on procedurals.
Faith was the first person to learn about Ormewood’s brain tumor. Instead of ruminating over the subject, she took him with her to help her with a murder investigation on a private island.
It helped to distract him and illustrated how well Faith knew him.
Faith fits in seamlessly with Ormewood and his family. I have faith that he’ll survive his brain tumor, and she’ll be right there supporting him through his recovery.
Depending on his treatment, Ormewood’s life could undergo a dramatic change. He’s used to being the male provider and soldier.
During Will Trent Season 3, he realized he couldn’t afford the household bills without a roommate, and Faith moved in.
He may need Faith emotionally more than ever during treatment. That could turn romantic if he realizes she’s the only person who stood by him.
It would be an interesting angle and add a more emotional, layered aspect to their lighthearted scenes.
This would also be a nice change of pace from the serious and dysfunctional relationship between Will and Angie.
