Family Feud fans love host Steve Harvey for his wild antics on the popular game show. Every once in a while, however, even the beloved host takes things a little too far. This happened in a clip from the show that has been making the rounds, and viewers had a lot to say about it.
Family Feud: Fans Love Steve Harvey For His Crazy Antics
While Steve Harvey does not get as raw or inappropriate on the Family Feud set as he would filming one of his uncensored comedy specials, Harvey does regularly push the limit, especially as the show has been criticized for taking a more raunchy turn.
Through it all, Steve Harvey has to make sure that things are balanced, for the most part. However, there are clearly times when even the host gets a little carried away, or he takes things too far. Overall, though, that is part of the charm of the game, and a big part of what keeps viewers coming back for more.
Fans Also Love The Celebrity Edition Of The Game
In addition to the regular version of Family Feud, fans also get a kick out of the celebrity edition. Typically, one famous celebrity competes on each side of the podium, and they bring family members and friends along with them.
Based on a recent clip shared by the show’s official Instagram page, former E! anchor Giuliana Rancic competed with her family against The Band Perry. Steve Harvey proceeded to read the survey question, saying: “A woman might say, I broke up with my boyfriend after I found out he had what?”
Giuliana’s mom responded with: “Spent a lot of money.”
While this was a good answer, this is where Steve Harvey went off-script, jokingly saying: “‘Cause he ate spaghetti on Monday.”
Family Feud Fans Roast Steve Harvey, Say He Missed The Mark
Even though this was an attempt by Harvey to make a joke and keep the mood light, it seems to have fallen flat with commenters and viewers alike. Many accused Steve Harvey of reaching a little too much for a joke, to the point where the scene came across as major cringe.
Typically, Family Feud fans are all about Harvey going off-script like this. However, in this instance, the vast majority of viewers feel the beloved host missed the mark.
- One commenter said: “Steve, you know good and go**amn well that’s not what she said.”
- Another commenter chimed in, saying: “Are you drunk Steve?”
- A third person piled on, saying: “Is he high???”
