Jesse Watters has served in many roles for Fox News and has been part of many shows. Recently, he offered a blunt opinion during a televised discussion concerning President Donald Trump. Since then, many commenters have also been sharing their own reactions to both Watters’ comments and the story.
Jesse Watters Has Become Known Through Various Shows, From The O’Reilly Factor To The Five
Watters is a Pennsylvania-born political commentator and television personality. Known for his work with the Fox News network, he became known early in his career for his appearances on The O’Reilly Factor, as well as his “Watters’ World” segment.
Watters later became the host of his own program, Jesse Watters Primetime. He also serves as a co-host on The Five.

Recently, Watters sparked reactions online after he made some comments over President Donald Trump. This was after the president was awarded the newly created Peace Prize by FIFA.
As noted by The U.S. Daily Express, the prize had been presented to Trump by FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the World Cup draw in Washington, D.C. This was just ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
During a recent broadcast of The Five, the co-hosts shared their reactions to the award. During the discussion, Greg Gutfeld shared, “I also love that the peace prize from FIFA, it didn’t go to like Greta Thunberg or some silly little peace activist.” Gillian Turner also felt that the move was done “because it was created for the president.”
A Few Commenters Also Weighed In On The Story On Social Media
Gutfeld then asked Turner what her “beef” was with the move. This caused Turner to respond, “I’m saying there were no other candidates. It wasn’t like Trump beat out other people for the prize.”
This caused Gutfeld to add, “So? What’s your point? Do you wish that it went to Amnesty International or Greenpeace?” It was then Watters chimed in, “Because they’re kissing his butt, because he’s hosting the game.”
This is great! Fox News acknowledges that FIFA created the “Peace Prize” just for Trump because they are “kissing his butt.” pic.twitter.com/gemdnRqnjZ

The conversation later sparked interest online, with various commenters debating the award. Some defended the move while others criticized it. A few comments included:
- “Sometimes the symbolism says more about the politics of the day than the prize itself.”
- “Much rather have our President’s a– kissed rather than kicked, but that’s just me.”
- “Good. They’re gonna be sucking up to someone might as well be our leader. They just ignored the sleepy dude we had last.”
- “They didn’t whip up some trophy to ‘kiss his butt.’ They finally admitted the obvious.”
- “Gianni Infantino has some self-respect he couldn’t degrade himself further by putting the sham prize over his head.”
- “He gave himself a participation trophy.”
- “A prize that will never exist again after this year.”
- “At a minimum $2000 per World Cup ticket. I’d kiss his butt too. Ticket prices are insane and I truly hope it becomes a financial disaster. No one should pay those prices.”
