Honey Boo Boo’s BF Faces 10 Years In Prison
There have been a lot of problems with Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson’s boyfriend, Dralin Carswell. She almost did not go away to college in Colorado when it was unclear if he could come along. He had been in a bundle of legal trouble, which could have kept him in Georgia. Fortunately, he was allowed to move with Alana, and she headed off. Now, the couple has returned to Georgia so that he can speak to his lawyer and see what is next for his legal problems. They have given him options, but the case could go to trial.
If that happens, he could go to jail for ten years. For Alana, that is not something she wants to deal with. Furthermore, she stated that she would have to be locked up with him. When Mama June learned what could happen, she was worried. She did not want Alana to give up her dreams for Dralin:
“Honestly, if Dralin goes to jail and Alana ends up giving up her nursing career, it would be the most stupidest thing ever.”
This also led June to reflect on past mistakes that she had made and the men that she chose:
“I used to put men first and what they wanted and all that, and gave [up] a lot of my life, but I hope that she does not do that.”
It was not just Mama June who was worried about Alana and her choices. Alana’s sister, Pumpkin Efird, who raised her, is not happy that she would sacrifice her life for a man.
She is struggling on the show in her marriage, and is not encouraging of Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson sticking with Dralin for ten years:
“What are you gonna do? Sit here and harp and wait on him for 10 years? Girl, you have a life to live.”
Fans Have A Lot To Say
It was a big deal for Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson to break the generational cycle and go to college. She has big dreams, and her family has been immensely proud of her. However, waiting for Dralin’s sentencing and knowing that he could go away for ten years is scary. Mama June has seen the mistakes that she made and does not want Alana to backslide and follow. Finally, fans are also worried that Alana will go the wrong way and give up her dreams:

- K not b mean Alana should b concentrating on school let him handle his legal stuff he’s over 18 he’s an adult. Stress for her is not good it’s a distraction from homework.

- This would be an opportunity for Alana to focus on school. He’s a grown man. He got himself in this mess, he can get himself out.
