Worldwide singing star Justin Timberlake finally appeared before a judge virtually for his June arrest. He is currently overseas performing on his world tour. It is being reported that Justin showed no emotion during the hearing. He still maintains his innocence in the DUI case against him. What else happened? Keep reading to get the scoop.
Justin Timberlake Looked Stoic During Hearing Before Judge
Singer Justin Timberlake appeared before a judge on August 2 for the DUI charge he received in June in Sag Harbor. He is currently in Belgium on his tour and so attended the hearing virtually.
People shared that Justin reportedly showed no emotion while listening closely to Sag Harbor Village Justice Carl Irace. He entered a not-guilty plea to the now-reduced misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated.
During the hearing, Justice Irace revoked Justin Timberlake’s driving privileges in New York. However, it was not noted publicly how long that will last. Justin’s attorney says this move is standard in all cases in New York.
The next hearing is set to happen on August 9. Depending on the outcome of that hearing, the final court date would possibly be set for September 13.

Attorney Was Reprimanded
Justin Timberlake’s attorney was reprimanded at Friday’s hearing when the judge told him to stop commenting on the case. He told the attorney that is comments “come off as an attempt to poison the case before it even begins.” The judge noted that he would implement a gag order and force Timberlake to appear in person if the comments did not cease.
Following the hearing, Attorney Edward Burke Jr. told reporters that the thing they need to remember the most about the case is that Justin was not drunk when he was arrested in June.

Officers say “his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath.”

He accused law enforcement of not carrying out procedures properly and said they made several mistakes in their investigation. Burke is confident the charges against Justin will be dropped once more details are exposed.
He concluded that Justin Timberlake has nothing but respect for police and the judicial system.
Burke said, “Justin respects law enforcement and the very important job that they do. He cooperated with the police officers at all times and treated them with the respect they deserve. He also respects the entire judicial process including the District Attorney and Judge who were in court today. But the fact remains, he was not intoxicated and they made an error in arresting him for it. We are confident that this charge will be dismissed.”
What do you think of Justin’s latest court hearing? Do you think the charges will be dropped?
