With Peacock prices on the rise, it is leaving On Patrol: Live on the line as viewers are looking for other avenues to tune in. This has long been a problem as the streamer has continuously changed its monthly and yearly charges. So, what can be done to save the show, and will Peacock lose its viewership? Keep reading for more details on the situation.
Peacock Prices Soar, Leaving OPL On the Line
One of the best things about Peacock is that it has a variety of shows, series, and movies. Moreover, there are many channels to allow viewers of all tastes to find something that is appealing. From new to classic fan favorites, paying the price seems like a relative no-brainer. It was a relatively low-priced streaming service when it first came out, but it has since continued to rise. This is a problem for Bravo lovers, who depend on Peacock for their favorite reality shows, but also fans of On Patrol: Live.

Peacock is where Reelz can be accessed, which is the home of OPL. Every Friday and Saturday night, for three hours, viewers flock to the streamer to watch the shenanigans go down. Furthermore, they have created an online community where they chat, share photos, snacks, and pets. Even when reruns air, it is a special time to decompress and unwind. Sadly, Peacock is roughly $169.99 per year, and that has caused an uproar:

It seems that no one wants to spend this excessive amount for On Patrol: Live, so they are seeking alternative options. Is there another way to enjoy the series without having Peacock, or is this the core avenue? This is one of the biggest hits for the streamer, so if viewers cancel their services, what could happen to it? Moreover, what would be the fate of OPL? It was already canceled once as Live PD, then revived and rebranded, so that is not out of the realm.
Other Options
When many wondered what to do about New York, New York-based Peacock and its rising costs, there were solutions. On Patrol: Live viewers learned that there were other, more inexpensive ways to watch the hit series. More so, it did not have to cost an arm and a leg. It seems the question about cheaper options came at the perfect time:
- I caught it on a Black Friday deal two years ago and threaten to cancel when it’s due for renewal and they keep giving me deals.
- I called to cancel and they offered $39.99 for a year. Did the Walmart deal and added Paramount.
- Watching for free through the Plex app, but it’s a season behind, which is fine because I was several seasons behind anyway
There was also the suggestion to get Reelz on its own, but Walmart+ seemed to offer the best bang for the buck. It may be best to look around and price shop before completely giving up on Peacock and On Patrol: Live.
